DISORIENT (Mothers at War)
DISORIENT (Mothers at War) is a short essay film that explores the personal implications of interracial, transnational Chinese adoption, specifically with white American parents. Conceived in those many nodes where lived experience meets critical theory, the film explores identity crises common among Chinese adoptees through an idiosyncratic mix of quasi-placeless shots and nostalgic found footage.
